Nettle is commonly known to be an excellent tonic and astringent, rich in phosphates and trace minerals. It promotes circulation in the skin and scalp and is said to stimulate hair growth, especially when combined with horsetail and coltsfoot. Its high silica and sulfur content makes it very nourishing to the hair and scalp (reduces oily and greasy hair), and thus is an excellent addition to products for thinning hair. It is also used to treat dandruff.
Added to under eye cosmetic creams, it reduces the appearance of dark circles and wrinkles. |
